Building on skills taught in a conceal and carry class
, or Defensive Handgun 1, this course introduces the student to dynamic encounters and practical defensive skills. Drills include shooting from various positions, including kneeling, supine and prone. Additional training will include one handed malfunction clearance and reloads, weapon retention, defense in close quarters, and more. The student will shoot from various distances and cover. Several of the drills are timed, which will help the student determine the important balance between speed and accuracy. The class ends with a drill that will incorporate everything the student has learned in Defensive Handgun 1 and Defensive Handgun 2. This class runs approximately 6-8 hours, all of which will be spent on the firing range.
